Remembering Charlie Kirk

Remembering Charlie Kirk

On September 10, 2025, Charlie Kirk’s life was cut short in a tragic act of violence. He was only 31 years old. His passing has left many in shock and sorrow, and even those who often disagreed with him recognize the influence he had on American public life.

Charlie co-founded Turning Point USA at just 18 years old, and over the next decade grew it into one of the largest youth-focused political organizations in the country. He worked tirelessly to bring young people into the political process, giving them a sense that their voices mattered and their participation could shape the nation’s future.

He was an outspoken advocate for free speech, limited government, and individual liberty. Through speeches on college campuses, daily podcasts, and a wide presence on social media, Charlie sought to challenge conventional thinking and create space for debate. Whether one agreed with him or not, he had a gift for sparking conversation, inspiring activism, and making politics feel immediate and personal to a new generation.

His sudden death is not only a devastating personal loss to his family, friends, and colleagues, but also a sobering reminder of how fragile our public life has become. His legacy will endure through the thousands of young people he motivated to engage with the issues of their time.

In honoring Charlie Kirk, we honor the principle that civic engagement matters—that every citizen, young or old, has both the right and responsibility to speak, participate, and stand for what they believe.

May his memory continue to encourage dialogue, determination, and the pursuit of a better future for all.
